What we do to protect you

Processed entirely in your browser

All PDF work happens inside your own browser using your device's processing power. Your files never touch a Docniva server at any point.

Your files stay on your device

Your files are never transmitted to Docniva. There is no server involved — and therefore nothing that can be intercepted, stored, or leaked.

We physically cannot read your files

Because nothing is sent to us, no one at Docniva — or anywhere else — can access your documents. It's how our technology works.

No account required

You don't need to create an account or provide any personal information to use Docniva. Our tools are available to everyone; no sign-up required.

Regularly updated

We keep Docniva's code and dependencies current, updating when needed to address security or compatibility issues.

What happens to your file

1

You open a file

When you select a PDF, your browser reads it directly from your device into local memory. Nothing is sent anywhere — the file stays entirely on your computer.

2

Your browser does the work

Docniva uses JavaScript running in your browser tab to perform all processing — organizing, merging, annotating, and so on. Your device's own CPU handles everything.

3

You download the result

The processed file is generated locally and downloaded directly to your device, exactly like saving any other file from your computer.

4

Everything is cleared when you leave

When you close the tab or navigate away, your browser clears all file data from memory. Docniva retains nothing — because nothing was ever sent to us in the first place.

Our honest limitations

What we can't promise

Because all processing happens in your browser, there is no Docniva server that could be breached and expose your files. That said, we want to be transparent about what we can and can't control.

We cannot protect files you've already downloaded to your device — that's your device's security to manage.
We cannot control browser extensions installed on your computer that might interact with page content.
If we ever discover a vulnerability on the Docniva website, we will post a clear public notice on this site in a timely manner.
If a vulnerability occurs on our site, we will be transparent about what happened and what we did to fix it.
